The Summer Accessory by Seyi Adejori

Guys, I went on somewhat of a hiatus in the last couple of months, but now I’m back! I appreciate all the people who are still reading my blog (if there’s any of you out there). In the past couple of months, the weather has reached an all-time high. For as long as I’ve been in the UK it has never been this hot!  I have spent most of my time in the park, which currently looks like a desert because all of the  green grass has turned a dry sandy yellow. Currently, I am having a love and hate relationship with the heat but overall my love trumps the hot disadvantages.

With every summer comes a new go-to accessory, for me it is my plastic beaded bag. I take it everywhere! It is small so this ensures I only pack my necessities and it is really cute! A downside is that is heavy and slightly fragile, it is not a piece you can wear every day and oh how I would like to wear this every day.

24 Hours in Venice by Seyi Adejori

Hello fabulous people!

The beautiful city of romance, amazing food and breathtaking views. I landed in Venice, Italy while I was solo travelling it was a destination I have always wanted to see so when the opportunity came up I jumped at it. The city was so beautiful and filled with a rich sense of history and culture. The colourful buildings, the rich blue ocean, gondola drivers dressed in black and white striped uniform, Italian voices in the air and the absolutely amazing Saint Mark's Basilica made me feel so warm inside. Saint Mark's Basilica is the church in St Marks Square, it was stunning!  It is known for its extravagant design and luxurious interior, the church is nicknamed the 'Church of Gold' you can view many ornaments made of gold, emeralds and rubies.  I sat in the church for about thirty minutes, said a little prayer and just did some reflection, I felt so at peace. Then I went to the top of the church to view St Marks Square in all its glory and I was not disappointed.

While in Venice  I consumed three different types of gelato ice-cream in a row and I have no regrets. There are many things to do while you're in Italy such as go to St Marks Square, ride a Gondola and  eat your heart's content in Italian goodness. Italians know a thing or two about food, everything tasted delicious. Venice is definitely a tourist destination, it was full of different types of people which is amazing but it is always good to be aware of pickpockets. Venice can be pricey as it is eighty Euro to ride a Gondola, which was one of the things I wanted to do but could not stomach paying 80 euros by myself however, if you can find people to accompany you on the ride or you have a travel buddy it should be on your must-do list.

Unfortunately, I did not have a lot of time to spend in Venice, Italy so I did not get to see and do everything I wanted, but I wanted to share my photos from the trip so you can see the city from my eyes. I highly recommend everybody to visit Venice, it is truly a sight to see.

Tell me about you recent trip abroad, let me know in the comments below.

Stay smiling, Seyi x
